Hospital da Luz Learning Health is the new partner of Maze X, the impact startup accelerator based in Lisbon that works with impact tech-based solutions.
Hospital da Luz Learning Health is the department of Grupo Luz Saúde dedicated to training, research and innovation. By partnering with Maze X, the group aims to tap into innovative solutions in the areas of health care delivery and management, with a focus on professional training, research and medical simulation.
Maze X is a 9-month impact accelerator, implemented by MAZE, that provides access to capital, skills and network to impact startups that are solving social and environmental challenges through their businesses. The programme focuses on developing corporate pilot testing opportunities, so that startups use large corporations as a testbed for their products, providing invaluable customer feedback and market traction.
Maze X was conceived and initiated by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Edmond de Rothschild Foundations and MAZE, with the law firm PLMJ joining as a founding corporate member and BNP Paribas and Casa do Impacto as partners.
The second edition of Maze X will take place in 2020 when the future simulation centre in the new Hospital da Luz is launched. Hospital de Luz Learning Health will have access to innovative startups from all over Europe in the health area, whose solutions have a social and environmental impact integrated into their business model.
