Who are we?
Maze is an impact investment firm created by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 2013. We offer financial and non-financial tools to anyone committed to delivering positive social and environmental outcomes. Applications are now open for another edition of our internship programme. Are you in?
Who are you?
- You are interested in the impact field and care about people and the planet;
- You are a curious person, eager to learn about new topics and work areas;
- You can articulate your thoughts and insights in a clear manner;
- You are based in Lisbon and able to work from the office when necessary;
- You have proficient written and verbal communication in English.
What can you expect from the job?
As an intern joining our team, you will be exposed to our work across different teams. This might include:
- Learning about specific impact fields such as blue economy, maternal health, and employment, among others;
- Following and supporting startups and other organisations that we work with across private, social and public sectors;
- Collecting and analysing relevant data and building deliverables (reports and presentations) that are insightful.

How?
- This position is based in Lisbon, but maze has a hybrid work approach.
- Work at maze is fluid, and you will collaborate with different teams within the organisation.
- This is a full-time internship.
When?

- Internship starts in September (exact date depending on availability).

Why are we asking you this? The main goal of this exercise is to understand how you structure your thoughts and how you express yourself in writing.
Guidelines:
Note that the selection process will follow an "anonymous 1st step" format. We will start by assessing your challenge and only then will we analyse your CV and remaining elements. We do this to try to reduce any potential biases in the recruitment process.
